Day 1 Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast in this Tanzania family safari, your safari guide will pick you from your accommodation and drive you to Lake Manyara National Park for the Tanzania family safari. Manyara is a relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow, salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons and is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species.
On your exploration of the park, you will see monkeys, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes; not only open grassy plains but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab dotted cliffs.

Day 2-3 Serengeti National park

Morning drive up the crater highlands for Tanzania family safari, stopping at the rim for a spectacular view of the Ngorongoro Crater. Continuing as far as the eye can see is the vast Serengeti. Serengeti mean “endless plain” and this 6900 sq. mile (18000 sq. km) park is inhabited by more than 2 million wildebeest. Day 4 Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Today you will wake up very early to do an early morning safari before breakfast, to spot the animals when they are more active and also to have a fantastic sun rise in front of you. The sunrise in the African Savannah is one of the most beautiful experiences one can have. You will then travel to Ngorongor Crater for Tanzania family safari, inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino. In fact, the crater has the greatest concentration of wild life in the planet. It contains a river, several swamps, a soda lake that, from the top, looks like steam, full of flamingos, a forest and open plains. After a full day, you will return to a lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5 Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will make the short drive to Tarangire National Parkfor Tanzania family safari . Tarangire is well known for its large elephant herds. From the open roof of the vehicle you will experience the seasonal swamps, savanna and Tarangire River in search of many animals including zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and giraffe. It’s possible that you will catch a glimpse of a lion stalking its prey or leopards watching and relaxing in the trees above.
